Trailer and also intro for our GONE CAMPING series
Shot at 15 frames per second for the first time, which was an additional challenge for me, as I now had to shoot a lot more movements. Instead, the movements are more fluid and natural.
Also new are the different faces of the characters. These were not created in post-production, but during animation. For this, the character’s head has to be replaced between each frame. This way it is possible to show many more emotions and bring the character closer to the audience.
This production was also the starting point to really go crazy with the visual effects and to continue learning. There isn’t a single scene that doesn’t have at least one visual effect. Be it a replaced background, swirling dust, masking, particle emitters or color correction. Everything can be found somewhere.
There were more scenes that I filmed for this trailer, but they were either intentionally not included because otherwise the trailer would have been too long or I simply forgot about them. These scenes eventually became the GONE CAMPING short film / teaser “To build a fire”.
