Synopsis
The boss of a bandit gang loses all his gold to the general of the nearby fort while playing poker. But he wants to get it back. So the idea of his stupidest gang member comes in handy: you could infiltrate someone into the fort…undercover, so to speak. But it turns out differently than the bandit boss had imagined.
Film Facts
After about 4 years of pre-production and production, several script changes in between and a lot of sweat, our first big Lego animated film was ready.
The film was recorded with the official Lego Studio application and camera we had, which unfortunately resulted in poor image resolution. But it was still better than other options we had at that time. In the end we even had problems to edit the movie files, because they were created by Lego Studio with a special codec that our computer couldn’t handle.
We gathered the voice actors from our circle of friends, recorded them all individually and then put the recordings together to get the whole dialogue. Sound effects were put in place separately for each scene and sometimes mixed together specifically to get a certain sound. The music was composed and recorded by Stefan himself.
Despite the poor picture quality, we are very proud of this film. It has well done suspense, a lot of humor, action and a good rhythm. And it is 20 minutes long! Something I never managed to do after that…
